I wanted to do something a little different in building this custom extension dining table. To add some eye catching detail I used Teak veneer for the top, Zambezi Teak for the table top band/aprons and clear Teak for the turned/sculpted legs. I think the contrasting wood grain and color variation resulted in a very beautiful combination!
The closed dimensions of the table are 6’L x 48″W x 30″H and 10′ L in the open position. The extra width allows this table to accommodate up to 12 people.

This is a sculpted table made out of cherry I recently finished. It’s almost identical to many of the sculpted tables I’ve done in the past. However, for this table I played around with shaping the top of the legs on the base. I wanted to add some visual interest to this part of the peice and was struck by how this slight change affected the overall look and feel of the table.
